About Dr. Arnold Bruhn

Arnold R. Bruhn, PhD, is a distinguished clinical psychologist with nearly 50 years’ experience specializing in the use of autobiographical memory as a powerful tool for personal development and rapid healing. During his long career, Dr. Arnold Bruhn pioneered the use of autobiographical memory in clinical psychology. Retired from clinical practice as of April 2026, Dr. Bruhn developed and championed the Early Memories Procedure (EMP) and Cognitive-Perceptual (CP) Therapy, innovative approaches that have enabled patients to achieve deep insights and resolve pressing issues in significantly less time than traditional methods.

Early Memories Procedure (EMP) & Cognitive-Perceptual (CP) Therapy

Dr. Bruhn’s methods are based on the understanding that retained autobiographical memories shape our current worldview and identity. By examining these memories through the Early Memories Procedure (EMP) and how we perceive them (Cognitive-Perceptual Therapy), individuals can quickly identify and resolve the core issues that hold them back. This approach often leads to breakthroughs by the end of the second session, with issues beginning to resolve by the third.
